The room we were staying in the air conditioning unit was right next to the bed and had to be turned off at night. It wouuld have been better if the bunk beds were in a different position in the room so it could be left on in the night without waking up hot and stuffy. Apart from that everything was fantastic.

Excellent facilities. Our room was a bit cramped at first, with 6 beds. The AC broke in the room. We told them about it the next morning, arrived back that evening, and the room had 2 beds less and a new AC! We didnt even complain about how cramped the room was either!!!

no elevator- every walk to the room required an immediate shower afterwards. staff varies from very nice to very stupid and lazy- depends on the shift.

The HI Boston Downtown is great! Excellent location right by Fenway with easy subway (T) access. Staff arrange outings each night, and there's a spacious kitchen, TV room, and Wi-Fi. Facilities were clean, except for the water that sloppy showerers get on the floor!
