Don't be confused by the Downtown - it is in Back Bay. Convenient 5 min walk to metro or 15 min walk to centre. Beds were fine, regular turnover of people in rooms. Only 4 lockers in 6 bed room! Lockers available for hire downstairs at 2 or 3 dollars per 24 hour period. Free wi-fi access. Breakfast consisted of bagels, apples and coffee. Staff were friendly enough...some people complained no evening activities arranged.

Great location! Possible creation of a pamphlet of weekly events besides whats on the bulletin board would help people from multiple countries have a more "fun group time." Excellent value. Thanks!

I never expected much of any hostel. So I booked two nights here and two in a hotel. Wish I hadn’t bothered with the hotel. This place – good location (but you can walk anywhere in Boston so not big deal) clean++ comfort++ and some cool events organised. Cheap++ and I cant say anything bad about the place! Have fun, stay here you cant expect much more. Go to the Jazz night if they have one! Enjoy Sam Adams and you can tell your friend you had a top time in Boston.

Location is great as its right near a T stop. Very goof for going out in town or sightseeing etc. Also nice and close to Fennway Park and bars!

My room wasn\'t ready when I arrived , I was early ,so I wen\'t to a Red Sox game and came back and found that they upgraded me to a private room. That was a good surprise and I found the room very clean and I had a great night sleep , so thank you again..

The place itself is located near a subway station, so that really helps a first time visitor. The hostel was clean & tidy which is the main thing when travelling. Shared bathrooms are a strange concept but that seems to be the American way, so you just deal with it. Fun wise, for a single traveller & without a bar, it is just hard to meet people, so in that respects, it's not really fun. It does force you though to find a local bar & meet people there. In all, I would recommend the hostel.
