I didn't see any security, but over-all, you guys are great. The location where the Fort Mason is located seems as if security is not necessary anyway because people were just so friendly. I met about 8 friendly people in about 2 days short of time, which is more than I have met in So. Cal. - Riverside, within one year. I had a free spirit when I was in San Francisco, including your Hostel during my stay. And, when I knew I had to leave, I kept trying to find excuses to come back in the Hostel. When I finally told myself I had to leave, I just felt like crying. I'll be back in July 2005. Thank you HI-San Francisco-Fishermans' Wharf Staff. I would much rather stay with you guys than a Hotel. Take that from someone that works in a Hotel.

Cafe Franco is fantastico! I really enjoyed talking w/ Franco- after the meal and hearing his take on worldly matters. He's a solid citizen and a well-traveled man. -Keith Hickerson, Merchant Mariner

It was a nice and quiet place to stay. The cafe was the tops, as was the free breakfast. The short and beautiful walk around Fort Mason and to Fisherman's Wharf was great. I'd stay here again.

Great hostel at an excellent location. Cheap, quiet, a lot of useful information provided, big spaces outside, laundry and reading rooms, huge kitchen, internet access, free breakfast and a very nice international atmosphere. Definitely the best place to go in SF for a backpacker.

This was my first ever experience with hosteling. I'm in my forties and came to your hostel with my two teenage sons. It was a great experience, and I look forward to hosteling again. Our stay at your hostel was everything I hoped it would be. Good people. International experience. Warm environment. Off the beaten path. Thank you.
