Lovely hostel.staff very helpful&wrote notes for us in Chinese that we needed for other places. no elevator& warm in the halls but the air conditioning is very good in the rooms ensuite was small with no shower tray or curtain so all of the bathroom gets wet. the iron was broke when we were there& there was no replacement which was annoying. that was the only downside. rebecca and jai jai were very good to us& we wud def go back. we had a great time. wud def reccommend for anyone to stay here.

The hostel is centrally located and you can get to most key places of interest as well as the food street by walking. The staff are just fantastic and would often go the extra mile to help, e.g. Joey helped me to get a memory card from the Sony store when I couldn\'t go there as I had to leave very early in the morning for an excursion and would not be back till late in the night. And Joyce who helped me with my stuff when I checked out and went out of her way to help me get a taxi but it was peak hour and when we couldn\'t get one, she made sure that I got on the bus to the train station. Thumbs up to Jason, without whom we would never have seen the panda and would have had to contend with seeing pandas in their cages through cracks of the glass windows. He negotiated with caretaker at the Panda Breeding & Research Centre, to feed the panda outside the open section of the enclosure just so that we could get a good view. The tours organised & conducted by the staff of this hostel are great and highly recommended but not the ones where you book through the hostel but are conducted by another company - the quality of service, information on the places of interests, are very poor and you spent most of the time switching from one bus to another. Breakfast at the Travellers Cafe - unless you have plenty of time to spare and like waiting (I was there at 7.20am and waited for almost an hour for my toast and scrambled eggs and only after telling the waitress that I was going to cancel my order. Btw, I never got my cup of tea, the waitress forgot despite being reminded and I didn\'t fancy waiting any longer), it\'s best to eat somewhere else afterall the food street is just less 2 mins walk from the hostel. I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 nights stay at the hostel and I think the hostel staff (sans the ones at the Travellers Cafe) there made all the difference.

The hostel itself was good, the rooms were clean and basic. We went for a Terracotta Warriors tour booked through the hostel, and the guide was very nice and tried to make the best of the tour for everyone.

This hostel was our second choice as our first choice, the sister property Shuyuan hostel, was full. Hang Tang is located approx 10 mins walk to the bell tower and muslim quarter. It was really clean but lacked any character and was also really quiet. The menu and food were great and we had fun at dumpling night on fridays! The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Nice hostel, Great common room with free internet and free pool table.. Most of the staff are also very helpful and speak english very well.. The only thing that let's it down is the bathrooms are a bit rugged.

Great place, buses across the street and just a minute from the drum tower. They offer tours and tickets onsite, we did the T. Army and love it but we got our train tickets in person.. and regretted not just paying the fee, the train station is insane. Tons of character, and a pretty comfy double room. Staff were super friendly and the restaurant was great, fair prices and open late. Only downside is the rooms are on the 3rd & 4th floors, so a smal hike to the room.

The staff was very helpful, explained how to take buses, how to not be tricked and also gave recommendations on different activities.
