I've only stayed in a few hostels, but this one is the best so far. The downstairs is really conducive to meeting new people (big, has TV's and a bar) and if you want to be left alone, you can go upstairs where the gym is and there is a place to read a book or whatever. Probably the best thing is that this place is new-- which means it was really clean. Price was good, though an included towel would've been nice. One cool touch is that the lockers and doors use a card instead of having to use your lock or a key (though that doesn't reall matter).

It's a good place for young people and my children (15-18 years)were very happy.
For the parents it's ok too... but there was a something wrong with the doors of the bed rooms , when you closed them "there was a earthquake" and it was very difficult to sleep during an earthquake no ??!!! Perhaps it's usful to put a warning notice on the doors "Please close the door slowly !
See you soon !

we spent four days at HelloBCN, and we were surprised by the cleanliness (cleaning lady was always around) and very good stuff. the breakfast was excelent (comparing to some other youth hostels i visited) despite being quite plain. we had a wonderful time. it really is worth the money (i'd say it was cheap considering the services). i haven't found anything negative.

very good hostel, good security and clean facilities. loved the free email! only one bad thing was the showers that stayed on for about 5 seconds at a time. other than that, excellent place and i would definitely stay again. thanks!

The website should make sure it tells the whole story about the Hostel. We are 48 and 70 years old, we were not informed of bunkbeds, nor that the average age is about 22. Was fun for one night though. We were charged a fee of one night for canceling. It is more than clear we did not fit there.

The ceiling in the showers were moldy on the third floor.
Rooms were ok and the staff was very friendly.

The cleaning lady at this hostel wasn´t very considerate. She opened my unlocked locker in my dorm as I was getting dressed and started telling me to get out of the room. Another time she cleaned the bathrooms without cleaning the showers. Overall the staff here is really great. The place is bright and cheerful a lot like IKEA.

Staying at HelloBCN made my trip. It definitely wouldn't have been the same if I had stayed anywhere else. Safe, internet, bar, and awesome staff...what more could you ask for?
