The hostel was really nice and it was in a great building. The street that it's on, the Grand Via, is a big and busy boulevard. However, it bothered me that I would run into a bunch of prostitutes in every side road of it. Just keep walking on the Grand Via and you'll have a better time.

We had an excellant time at hostel Santillian. Highly recommend it. The place is really beautiful and extremely well located about 10 mintues walk from Sol. The staff were very helpful and we both loved madrid.

This was a very nice, very clean hostel in a great building [shared with other establishments]. I thought the location was great, right by Plaza Espana at the end of Gran Via, so the rest of the city was in easy reach. If ever in Madrid again I will stay here.
