I stayed at this hostel on September 16-18 and I must say that I was quite impressed with the friendliness of the staff, good location and the comfortable atmosphere. The staff also cooked us breakfast and dinner and they offered great advice on tours, nightclubs and restaurants in the downtown area. I strongly recommend Hostel Quetzal. During the day and afternoons, it can be quite hot but they put the AC on during the nights. There is also a rooftop with a beautiful view and a park in fro

My friends and I lucked out with the "penthouse" suite, and had a particularly good experience at the hostel. In any case, the garden patio area was very social and the morning omelets were awesome!

Absolutely fantastic. Monica (the owner) is great and goes the extra mile. The staff all speak English and Spanish and try to accomodate you. The only downside is that the directions are wrong and I had a hard time finding it. The hostel is located on the street parallel to Yaxitchalan.
