Was probably once a nice hotel, but seems a little run-down, rough around the edges. Room and bed were clean, but the rest of the establishment was showing its age.

it was cheap, which was great. and we got upgraded to a private room, but its a hotel. i think youd be better off paying the extra money to be closer in town and have a fun atmosphere. breakfast was really good.

No good place to meet people because there were no real place to see them

the lack of AC in the rooms was unrealistic considering the amount of people in one room, absolutely roasting! however good tram links to town.

it is far off. And when you are in Amsterdam it does make a difference. The staff do try to be nice, but it is essentially a big, not that nice hotel. Oh, take the 6 bed rooms, not the 4 bed ones. The 4 bed rooms are too tiny. Claustrophobic.

interesting hostel, as it appeared to once be quite a high-quality hotel which has fallen into some disrepair....very interesting

more of a hotel than hostel.its 25 mins out from the centre, but the tram stop is nearby and they are frequent. room was card entry, so was secure. the 2 computers were always in use, could do with another!

I know its not fair to judge the whole hostel on basis of one rude staff but then she gave me such a hard time that i will think twice before coming back here.i forgot to get her name but she is a female and possibly from china or one of those countries.Stay away from her as much as possible. She acts as if she owns the place and in my case she even threatened to call police when i asked why she was behaving so strangely. My only crime was i asked her if it was possible to change my room.

Okay place, they might call themselves a "hostel" online, but they are actually a hotel. I had two buddies with me, so it was nice to have our own room for a night and do it cheaply.... Condom wrapper was on the floor though so thats a little bit of a downer.
