Hostel Suisse is not in the best location, but it does get the job done. If you're driving, you'll be fine, but you're not terribly close to historic Zurich or the train station. Also, our trip was in Summer and . . . uh the room (509) was hot. The one small window that did open, only cracked open and didn't really ventilate at all. It was cooler in the floor lobby than in our room and I don't think the lobby had any windows at all!? All in all not bad. The staff there was really helpful a

I would very much NOT recommend Hostel Suisse. It is very far away from pretty much everything, the rooms are drab and expensive, and there are basically no amenities (Internet, breakfast, etc.). It's in a rather depressing area, so unless you have transportation or mind a 20 minute busride to get to anything everyday, find another place.

Hostel is very expensive particularly since it does not have kitchen facilities. There is no place to lock up your valuables but there is only 2 people in a room, so i quess security is dependent on how much you trust your room mate! It is not in town, its a 10-15 bus ride! I think there is a cheaper option that is just as far from town! but staff were quite nice and the room itself is very good, with a desk and plenty of space. there is also free wifi which was great.

It would have been nice if the hostel offers breakfast as the food in Zurich is very expensive! The internet was a great deal and the rooms were nice.

I would actually recommend this hostel even tho8ugh my ratings for it are not that great. It is a really nice place to stay in Zurich, and even though it is on the higher end of the prices for hostels, it is a great price for Zurich. I stayed in a 2-bed mixed dorm, but actually ended up being by myself, because it was not packed and they gave me the room. The room was a normal room, but very bright, quiet, new sheets, clean, etc. The hostel itself is really far from the city centre, but

I am certainly a satisfied customer. Though not situated right in the city, this hostel is just 10mins walk from alstatten station which is just 2 station away from the main station. The hostel is clean and the staffs are friendly. Affordable price as well. Definitely recomended for those who just need a simple place.
