Staying at this hostel was a terrible experience- I felt very stupid about having paid for my entire stay up front, or I would have gotten out of there immediately! It was extremely dirty and felt very unsafe.

On the morning of 3/29/08, my companion and I walked from our Globe apartment down the street to the Globe bar for an advertised "All American breakfast." But when we got there the man serving wouldn't give us the time of day to take our order and when my companion asked how to go about ordering coffie he said, "I'll bring you your fucking coffee... don't start with me." Hence, we walked out and had ALL of our "American breakfasts" elsewhere. I'm glad our apartment wasn't in the main building so we didn't have to look at that rude server every morning when we left.

Don\'t stay here if you\'re looking for a memorable hostel, it was a place to sleep for the night

many weird people in there, no chance of a night without getting waked up by noise, had to leave the hostel way too early, at 10 o'clock! people come to amsterdam for partying, meaning, staying up all night, sleep till the early afternoon!

Other guests were extremely noisy, could not sleep for 2 nights, we complained and were moved to room where toilet didn't work. Rooms small and dirty, and way overpriced!!

I only stayed one night in the 20-bed dorm room but it really wasn't bad at all -- good bathrooms with hot showers and everything! For a hostel above a bar in the red light district, I thought it was a good choice!

They had a really good bar, but it´s freezing in the dorms. Bring some warm clothes and you will be just great!
