if someones cancels their stay..should atleast get some part of the money refunded!!-- even if it is less than 72 hours! rooms could do with a bit brighter lighting!!

On average; a hostel that offered what you payed for - a bed and little else. easy access by public transport and breakfast included. VERY steep stairs!

There were some really good staff, but also a few rude and unhelpful people

They overbooked me and my wife. Ok, they sent us to a better room at Red Light district. But it wasn\'t into a hotel or hostel. We didn\'t have breakfast, the bed was a bit dirt, the bathroom was very dirt and dark.

clean enough, though the bathrooms do not smell clean... no lockers. location is quite good. DO NOT try to check-in between 2-6 am. breakfast is great, for a hostel breakfast.

I STAYED AT THIS HOSTEL FOR ONE NIGHT. i WAS LUCKY TO BE PUT IN THE ROOM NEXT TO THE RECEPTION AREA WHICH WAS APPARENTLY NEW. VERY CLEAN SHEETS AND DUVET AND COMFY BED. CONVINIENTLY NEAR TO VAN GOGH MUSEUM. OWNER V. HELPFUL. ONLY PROB IS NO LOCKERS. WOULD BE COOL IF THE PLACE HAD A LOUNGE ROOM OR SOMEWHERE MORE COMFY TO CHILL.

Not so fun hostel, far from centre of town and pretty boring staff, not so much party etc..

Hotel Annemarie was located right next to a beautiful park where my friend and I were able to sit out and relax. The park surrounded the Van Gogh Museum, as well as the Rijks Museum, two of the best that Amsterdam has to offer. If one wanted a location to stay that was within a four minute walk of a museum than this spot would be perfect. We were more in this trip for partying and although it is close to the famous dance spot Paridiso, it was quite a hike from the busy red light district. Although it is far, the hotel imposed no curfew. The previous night we were forced in by 2 which in Amsterdam limits the amount of fun you can have. Despite the lack of curfew since there aren't a large number of individuals staying here one wouldn't have to worry about waking everybody up upon returning after a party. The accomodations were really nice though. The rooms were clean and large. There was not an issue with space and the beds were extremely comfortable. As far as security is concerned, no one is let in without a key swipe much like a real hotel. If you want to protect extra things the hotle hass a safe and a locked area in the basement. If you are looking for a crazy time with wild parties you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want a comfortable bed and a good night sleep than this is a great choice.

The bathrooms were disgusting, and the rooms incredibly small. We will not return again.
