I liked this hotel overall. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and the room was clean. My only complaint is that we were put in a room that was recently painted and the paint fumes were still pretty strong.

Our stay was good and the hotel is located very central to 2 of the main metro lines in Paris, Day time staff for our stay were excellent - if your going to be drinking and coming home late then best you behave yourself as the night watch man is not the happiest of people. Showers are a bit different to the west - double glazed windows help reduce the street noise. Overall impression - 6/10.

We stayed in the family room downstairs - very spacious but smelt funny. The person who slept in the corner of the room swears she could hear what everyone else in the hotel was doing, as the walls are so thin. Our ceiling started leaking on the second night and we told the desk staff who looked at it but didn't seem too concerned, so we put towels and things under to mop up the flow. We told the staff again the next morning and they sighed and said how typical that it should happen now that it was the weekend and how hard it would be to get someone to fix it. It had obviously happened before as the ceiling was quite bowed and the room had green mould in places. Also the toilet area of the bathroom stunk of urine. However, it's a cheap price and a really good location, so if you're not too fussy you'll be fine.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed, I saw a review before booking it and it said the place was "More like a Hotel than a Hostel", after staying in many hostels over the summer I would say this is more of a dump than a hostel! Like Really I think all the staff wrote the past reviews! The staff were very helpful though.

On the internet we read that breakfast is included in the price, but when we came there they said that I must have had read it wrong and mixed up the words included and excluded! I really hate being treated like Im stupid enough to believe that! The breakfast cost 5 euro and itÿs really poor for its price (We didnt decide for it and dont regret it)

Very friendly staff. Close to transportation and amenities. Would be beneficial to have internet access available.

Our only worry about Hotel Camelia was the security. Althouhg it is very convenient to be able to just drop off and then pick up your key at reception, it would often be a staff member who hadn't seen you before who you picked up your key from on your return - it seemed like it would be too easy for a thief to do the same. Very happy though otherwise - friendly, good location, no curfew and impressive value for money
