A decent place to say for the price and location in istanbul. We had a double room on the second floor with the only complaint being that the bathrooms usually smalled rather musty and you often had to wait a little bit to get room at the only sink.

I spent a week there in the beginning of my trip and was really happy to return. They actually remembered me and welcomed me back. Which was nice. The rooms had been refurbished and felt fresh and clean. Just wish they would work on the bathrooms, though they are acceptable.

our airport transportation decided to get drunk and neglected to pick us up from the airport, there was much miscommunication and they staff was very uninformative and made some guests feel uncomfortable, for several days there were no extra keys to locks which held passports and important documents. i was not satisfied, would not stay again and would not reccommend it.

I came back to the istanbul hostel and it's always a pleasure to stay there, in the real center of the old town. Friendly staff always ready to help you and find you solutions. A peacefull view on the marmara sea on the roof terrace.

The main hostel is very filthy, old rooms and mould on the walls. but there are seperate rooms in a neightbour building with beautiful roomes and a kitchen. Therefore you have to ask the staff.

Ich war fuer 8 Tage ın Istanbul und habe durch Zufall ueber hosetls.com das Istanbul Hostel gewaehlt. Ich denke das ıst das beste Hostel ın Istanbul. Habe mıch auch mıt anderen Backpackern unterhalten, dıe ın anderen Hostels waren und dann ıns Istanbul Hostel gewechselt sınd, weıl dıe anderen Hotels so laut waren. Das heısst nıcht, dass das Istanbul Hostel langweılıg ıst. Dıe Bar ıst top, sıe haben eıne Terassa und eıne zusaetzlıche Dachteressa mıt Blıck über den Bospu

I am really enjoying my stay here. I have met lots of people and found Istanbul fascinating and the hostel allows easy access. The area seems safe for women to walk around in. The rooms have a small locker which I use at night. Breakfast gives me a great start for the day. I am staying a week and have really settled into this hostel.
