Feels more like a small hotel than a hostel...you'll feel very anonymous...but it's a bed to sleep in, I guess.

Great location and price. Had to pay to secure luggage and Internet (non-wireless) was too expensive. I'd stay here again if I need something to fit a tight budget, but it was only to put a roof over my head. It may be better after the construction is finished.

Very close to o'connell street, rooms were very hot but we did stay in a room of 12. Would definitely stay again, well worth the money

Good stay as a stopover point. Slightly disappointed with breakfast but loved the location (close to anything and everything you could possibly need) The place was clean and tidy and the staff helpful and friendly! Thankyou!!

Jacobs Inn is undergoing extensive remodeling at the moment (May/June 2007) and that leads to a rather noisy and "stinky" (from paints, glues, etc) day. However, it is still well worth the hassle. I think the changes will only improve the place and make it even more attractive to travelers. We were thrilled to find a hostel so close to the main bus station in Dublin and such easy walking distance to the nightlife, must see attractions and shopping. Thanks.

luggage lockers should be free, especially if you're staying in the hostel but just have to change rooms!!! most hostels have a free lugage room! it would have been thoughful to make up for noise of works in building in some way (price of nights for instance)! Finally, no laundry , but some leaflets state you have; that's a problem Otherwise , good facilities

The location was the only great thing about this place. We had one of the "en suite" rooms, the 12 bed female room. There is ONE shower for 12 girls, with ONE shower in the hall to be shared by the rest of the hall. Bathroom situation was annoying. Lockers were downstairs, not in the room, and you have to pay for them.

Pros: quiet (apart for the Dart trains passing by), large room, good location, clean Cons: small and busy kitchen, impersonal, lockers in the basement and not in the rooms, not-too-abondant breakfast. All together, a more than decent stay.
