Good location in Asakasa. About a 10 minute walk from the metro. Located in a very safe though residential neighborhood. Staff is helpful.

Not a bad place. Great for backpacking alone if you'd like to meet other people. Their common room, although it can get crowded, is awesome: big screen TV, good DVD selection, and free Internet. As another reviewer noted, you should know that the "rooms" are really just seperated by seven-foot partitions. Early in the evening, some guy looked into our "room" from the top bunk in another "room" (not realizing that he was adjacent to other people, I guess), but this only happened once in the six days we stayed. They have strong ties to a local bar where most people at the hostel go to socialize later at night, so at least you know that *someone* there will speak English. Good location close to the Asakusa stop on the Ginza subway line.

A bit out of the way, but a decent (and economical) place to crash.

Great hostel! Good location, great staff and cheap compared to other places in Tokyo. Stay here if you come to Tokyo!!

This is a great little hostel in a charming part of Tokyo called Asakusa. Just three minutes away you'll find the subway that'll take you all around Tokyo. The cleanliness in this place must be the best ever - at least the best I've seen around Asia, Down Under and the Pacific Ocean - and I have seen quite a few! Stayed in a double room with not much space, dorms are tiny as well. Doesn't matter though, who spends time in a room while in Tokyo? Security might be an issue as the walls between rooms don't go all the way to the roof (however, lockers are available, so no need to worry). Probably also the cheapest accomodation you'll find in this city, so all in all: Highly recommended!!

I'd like to suggest it be made known that the dorms and private rooms are separated not by walls but rather, boards that do not extend all the way to the ceiling, so privacy is compromised, especially given the double decker beds that give you bird's eye view across the entire floor.

Great place overall! Only concern is that it is a bit noisy because they use partitions to seperate each room ... 2 foot gap from the ceiling where noise and light comes in. Asside from that it is a great spot.

People are very friendly and staff very helpful. This hostel is also very clean (this is the case with almost all of Tokyo). It's not the place for those wishing a huge party scene but I met GREAT people staying here. The only downside to this place is that the rooms are set up like cubicles...the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling...sort of weird and can be problematic if people are loud but people seemed very respectful of that fact and were very quiet for the most part. Would stay again!
