staff are extremely helpful and friendly. the facilities are well organized and clean. however the location of hostel is a little bit far away from main tourist spots and the separation of rooms are not that appropriate as people will be woekn up early in the morning. anyway, overall impression is nice and good

You cannot find a better place other than Khaosan Tokyo Asakusa Annex to stay in Japan

Nothing about this place is hotel quality but it is clean, in a nice neighborhood, but not really in the heart of the city. Its a good subway ride to anything except for Asakusa area. I am used to having foot lockers for my belongings and this place does not have them so there is a lot of trust that no one will touch your stuff. Havent talked to the staff much other than to check in. Free internet and free drink at near by bar are a plus!

This is a very nice hostel! Liked it so much, and would come back anytime! Stay here, if you want a nice stay in Tokyo!

This is a very nice hostel. I especially like the lounge with free internet and an assortment of DVDs. I really like the Asakusa region of Tokyo, where it is located.

the combination of bar 23 (owned by the person who runs the annex) and the hostel was great. after a long day out you can catch up with fellow travelers and locals at the bar. the hostel was safe and comfortable. will definatly go back there again!10/10

Totally excellent location - really nice area. Bar 23 was a cool hangout to meet people, and it was a comfortable walk to the train station. There is a temple around the corner (in sight) that may wake you up at 7am with the drums if you are a light sleeper. We'd highly reccomend the annex. :)

The Hostel itself is excellent, awsome people working there, great place to stay. The only issue is the location, Asaksa is really only a suberb of Tokyo. The subway grants access to everything until midnight, then your pretty much stuck in Asasksa or paying $80+ for a cab back to the hostel. The bar 23 is a fun spot to meet other hostel stayers but not exactly a great weekend haunt. If you just want to sight-see this is a great hostel, if your looking to party might want to look for somewhere closer to the city.

It's a fairly social hostel so it's nice if you like meeting others on your trip. There's a small bar within walking distance so I liked that part. Only problem was the "trust factor" with other guests getting into your stuff (they have lockers if that's concern). I'd recommend this place to others.
