What a great hostel! The staff are so friendly and helpful {thanks Rodrigo}, the facilities are great, the breakfast is nice and the atmosphere couldnt be beaten. We made many new friends and will definitely be back to visit one day!

Hostal was excellent, nice warm atmosphere, staff were the beat feature....very knowldegable and helpful to travellers. The only complaint I have is the area is very niosy. The hostal and surronding area, has a very fun party kind of atmosphere. This is great if you want to sit on the patio with a beer, or go out drinking all night but not so great if you have to catch a plane early the next day. Or if you are exhausted from travel and want your sleep. This is not something staff can control.

Great hostel with excellent facilities and in a really good location. Only comment would be that the bathrooms needed a bit of a facelift, but otherwise all was good!

A great hostel with a relaxed vibe and nice common areas. It is conveniently located near many nightclubs and great restaurants. My only complaint is that the hostel needed more bathrooms. Overall, I would definately recommend La Chimba to fellow backpackers.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Chimba. The staff were really friendly and helpful and spoke English! The only thing i would improve were the downstairs showers-i didn't like the way they only had curtains across them and no doors. Otherwise, it wa great!
