We stayed in one of the private rooms in the basement and found it both clean and comfortable. There's tons of stuff to see and do within walking distance - like the Quartier Latin. There are tons of places to eat. The staff was courteous and friendly. Parking was a bit of an issue for us, since Rue Sherbrooke is pretty busy. There's a metro station a few blocks away, so we didn't have to move the car much. This was a really nice hostel - but we liked the Alexandrie better, because of the atmosp

The free parking is on the street, they don't have a special parking lot. No alcohol is allowed in the building either. Those two things weren't great, but if you're not driving and don't care to drink at your hostel, it's a great place. It was only two blocks from the very cool St. Denis and a couple blocks away from some great restaurants and night life.

On the second day I was moved to the building below - which is not as nice as the upstairs and is isolated from it. At first I wondered if it was secure. After all, there are no telephones in the rooms (not expected) the door to the main entrance is flimsy and anybody walking in the main hallway that doesn't belong there could trap you in your room with no way for you to escape. Other than that, the staff was friendly and courteous. I would stay there but never book a room with two beds b

Great location and nice hostel. Some of the staff were a bit "arrogant" and snotty but one of the staff was a delight. Would stay here again.

All around good, no common space after 11 but that's understandable. Limited use of kitchen hours which could cause issues if you want to make food before 5pm or after 8pm.

This is the second time that I have chose to stay in this particular hostel and have recommended it to friends planning their visits to Montreal from my home in Halifax and coming from abroad. It is a superior hostel experience with par none cooking facilities, charming rooms (both the shared dorms and the private rooms) and the level of cleanliness and comfort is far beyond what you can typically expect from a hostel stay. This visit I satyed with my husband as part of our honeymoon, which we a

Super friendly staff and the cleanest, best decorated bathrooms and showers I've come across. Central location with lots to do nearby -- clubs and music hooray! I spent almost all my awake hours out and about, so I don't know what was available for hostel fun, but the other girls I roomed were friendly and considerate. My only quibble is that the locker doors don't close tightly, but if you shove your stuff to the back no one can get at it. I really enjoyed my stay and bet you will, too!
