If you like a party atmosphere this hostel's the place for you. There's only one eating/lounge area, with a constant background of TV or v.loud music. No power sockets or bed light in my 3 bed dorm. Note, this hostel's in a v.busy area, ie alot of people. Its not a soothing retreat after a long day in busy Beijing.

This hostel has become a money making machine only. I found it really dirty, and the staff just sitting around and doing nothing. I was not pleased with the place, and actually would NOT come here again.

The staff seams to be nice because they want to make reservations for everything, only because they get a commission out of it. Ther offer you taxis instead of letting you know that there is a short bus trip. There are some fouls odors in the halls, the place is not kept clean. They have stupid rules like no using internet after 10.00pm. No eating anything (not even a peach) at the bar/entertainment room if you didn't buy it there. If you want to drink a beer that you did not buy at the hotel yo

We stayed at Leo in 5 days and it was just fine. Leo is very central, it took only 10 minutes to go down to the heavenly peaceport. The small sideway where Leo is located is probably the Best throughout Beijing. Filled with restaurants and small shops. Leo can clearly recommended.

Conveniently close to Tiananmen, Leo Hostel provides clean, quiet rooms at okay prices. Though it's a great experience, watch out if you go on the "Secret Wall" outing, because the drinks at lunch are not free even though you will be led to believe so. The staff at Leo should have been forthcoming about that.
