The location is excellent. The staff were efficient. There was one very nice girl at reception. I can't remember her name but she had short hair. Some residents leave their door open so security is not perfect but the lockers were good. Good bar. Useful notice board of places to get to in Shanghai.

Perhaps have guides of the city for lending and selling?

This hostel was in a good location. It was about a 10 minute walk from the subway station. It has a great atmosphere for hanging out. There are only two computers, which are extremely slow, so bring a laptop if possible and use the WiFI. Also bring your own toilet paper just in case. The front desk will provide a small roll of toilet paper when requested, but the shared bathrooms do not have toilet paper or soap. Each bunk has its own plug, for multiple countries, as well as a reading lamp.

All of the staff that worked at Mingtown were way cool. They knew english and were always willing to help. The only thing I had a small problem with was the amount of smoking in the bar. The down stairs is the smoking section and the upstairs is the non-smoking section. The problem with this is that all the smoke travels up to the second floor, since second floor is open over the bottom floor. After a while we got used to it though, but I'm not sure if that is a good thing. Oh and there ar

I think the hostel and the staff exceeded my expectations. I might recommend to install a wireless router rather than the single internet cord that is available near the other two computers. Other that that, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely stay there again

First of all, this is great Hostel. Location is great, very well decorated, stunning views, and an excellent bar with lovely personal an affordable but nonetheless tasty breakfast. However it's not all good, at our arrival the staff of the reception informed us that our reserved beds where no longer available and tried force us in a double room including the double room prices. This is of course not how youth hostel personal should act. After some discussing with the personal we got some
