In general, I very much enjoyed my time at this hostel. It was clean and people were extremely friendly. It is a little far away from the major tourist areas but it is in a cute neighborhood and easily accessible by public transportation. It kind of claims to be a party hostel, which is odd since they have a no outside alcohol rule. Everyone pretty much violates it though. I think it is more a ploy to try to make you buy drinks in their pub downstairs. I was in a 3-person room with a shower when I stayed there. The first 3 nights were great and I shared the room with 2 other women. However, the last night I did not sleep at all since drunk guys kept wondering in and out and holding on loud conversations. You kind of have to accept those things in a hostel but when you have a flight the next morning at 8AM it is not that fun. There is also only one key per room so unless you want to get up to let people in you have to leave the door unlocked. It would be fine accept it means that lost drunk people can wonder into the room at anytime.

Liked the hostel and the people who worked there. The metro is right across from the hostel which is a plus. Only negative thing here is that the kitchen could be a lil cleaner.

This hostel was so much fun! My friends and I met tons of people. The hostel staff were very friendly and took care of us. It was a perfect trip!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a blast staying at Peace & Love!(December 5-10) It couldn't have been in a better location. Having the Metro across the street was great! Everything else you need is within walking distance. The room and the atmosphere reminded me of college yet it felt like home! The walking tour of Montmarte was well worth it. Karen is an excellent tour guide! I hope to see you in June on my next vacation! To all who read this...Please stay at this Hostel! You can't find a better bargain anywhere in Paris. Thanks for 4 lovely days (19-22 november) at Peace and Love Hostel. The staff was great and very helpful and we didn't want to leave the place after just getting to know them... we had a blast. Take care everybody.... Heidi and Nathalie, Denmark.

Must send love to Naima and Karen--best girls at the counter & never got to say goodbye. Great central place to branch out and see all of Paris. Tons of interesting people, amazing staff... you must go out at night to the Bastille and go to the Fournil de Paris bakery just up the street towards Metro Louis Blanc.

very friendly staff and 15 minute walk from Gare du Norde train station which was good seeing as i came via the eurostar. Was good to have individual showers and toilets for the rooms. would stay again.

this hostel is more of a bar than a cozy home away from home. You enter the bar and are immediatly in a room fun of people drinking. I didn't enjoyed being woked up by a drunk roommate at 2am, but if drinking and socializing is your thing then this is the place for you.
