THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE; Iv been travelling all around asia and australia and this place is the worst of all. so il describe it, its a very small bar that has a door at the back that leads to the kitchen downstairs, so u have to go through the bar from the bedrooms, at the front of the bar is a door to the bedrooms, no other entrance to the bedrooms but this. the reception is actually the bar, so all of the weird looking locals can see all off your payments etc... there are about 8 floors, my room was at the top floor; so to get up there, you have to go up these winding stairs around and around like a tower of an old church. to make it worse the rooms are very small and there is only one key between all of the people in your room.which is supposed to be left at the bar whenever somebody leaves the room. you will be very disappointed to stay here;

I stayed at this place for two nights. And here is a run down. The rooms are VERY small, and the beds are bunked THREE high, yes three. There are no lockers in the rooms, but there are cabinets but you cant lock them and you share a key with the rest of your room. So if you have important stuff, stay in a room with people you know. Also the bar downstairs is nice and cheap and fun, but the staff are rude. They were overcharging the guests and giving the wrong change too. If this is a quick stop, I would stay again, but if you plan on being there for a few days.....NO

There was maken a mistake about our room. We agreed for a 4-person room for 3 female. We had a stranger in our room (male).

The main disadvantage of your hostel is that there are no toilets in the rooms and that the floor is not cleaned regularly! Besides that it is a neat place

Location isn't soo good, even tho the metro is quite close from the hostel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't like that at the nights lots of locals were hanging out in the bar, probably there for the female visitors. Anyhow we had lots of fun there, unfortunately one australian girl didn't thing we were soo funny as we did :) Tervitusi eestlastele ;)

Overall this hostel is NOT A GOOD BET. If you happen to arrive at the hostel in the morning/afternoon you will find nice and attentive staff--this will change in the evening. Next be prepared for a long, windy and narrow staircase to your small room. I stayed in a 3 bed private with 2 roomates. Sleeping is next to impossible due to the extreme amounts of noise pollution coming from the street. I have never...ever heard so much noise in my life... and I have stayed in a number of cities...this hostel is situated in the worst spot...you are better off staying up all night every night. Next...there is a bar downstairs which at best is ok...the male bartender hits on every girl all night...and will get surly with you if you hang out with a girl he likes or tried to get with but failed...i sat at the bar with an empty beer glass for half an hour waiting for him to ask me if i wanted another one...didn't happen...but he proceeded to take care of everyone else...next the management rudely woke up my two roomates at 10:00 a.m.--check out and basically ripped them from the room. The cleaning staff then woke me up at 1:00 p.m.--I had stayed out till daybreak...and proceeded to call me "rude" and that I "lacked respect for other people" because I wanted to sleep and they couldn't clean the room for the next two roomates--hey I paid for the room if I want to sleep all day that is my business--I told them to clean around me...also our shower didn't drain well one had to be very quick or it might overflow. Other than that the place is alright--there is one internet station for either 1 or 2 euros and again the hostel is right next to the metro and 10 min. from the gare du nord. However, I would find a different hostel when I go back to Paris

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL. While I was staying there I observed the staff on several occasions hitting on women to a level that was obviously harassment. In addition, the bar seems to attract low lives who specifically target female backpackers. The morning staff is very nice and helpful, but the horrible evening crew is reason enough to stay away. Also, I'm now covered in flea bites. Coincidence?
