The music from the Club downstairs was too loud. We couldn`t sleep until the sound stoped

2nd time i came here and it's as good as before, staff friendly, rooms and toilets/shower clean. i recommend you to come there because it's cheap, clean and better than the dirty hotels in the center of the city like next to the damrak

great location. easy to get too. good breakfast. you could still hear the club at night from your room, but if you enjoy amsterdam enough, then the sleeping will never be a problem. i really enjoyed my stay here and the next time i come to the dam i will be staying here.

we enjoyed our stay and the staff was great. At the end of the day, it was like coming home. We enjoyed even the people who worked in the businesses around us. Can not wait to revisit when the tulips are in bloom

view of the square from our room was great and walking distance from everything BUT...Visited in December and the heat stopped working after the first night and spent the next 2 days/nights freezing b/c said they'd fixed it but never did- grudgingly offered us an extra single blanket to compensate. our double ensuite had a futon frame with two single mattresses for the bed-garunteed back pain. lobby reeked of cigarettes and cologne. beware of questionable old man with mustache- always ask to speak with Jim. If this sounds appealing, good luck.

As the hotel was full we stayed in one apartment in the other side of the square. For us was great because we payed for a double room without shower and we stayed in one apartment with eveithing.

I was upgraded free of charge to an en suite room because of alterations in the hotel.....But my new room was directly above the nightclub and the thumping music didnt stop until 3.15am However I was lucky enough to like that kind of music and never go to bed early anyway. So I wasnt too bothered. However if my Mrs was there she would not have liked it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the room had a great view over the square and it was cheap enough so generally happy with my stay in Amsterdam at the Rembrandt Square Hotel
