Reggie and gang are great. Very helpful. Spent 4 days in the place had a great time seeing Paris. I highly recommend. One tip dont get off metro at Abesses, go one stop more to Caulaincourt*Lemark. Turn and walk up stairs. Make a right on Rue Caulaincout towards cemetary. 1 block on right Caulaincourt Hotel.

This was a great hostel, but it had no security lockers nor doors for the bathroom. But I liked it so much the first time I was in Paris that I came to it again a few months later.

the hostel was great. decent beds, excellent montmartre location, and included breakfast. one big drawback though - there is a 'lockout' from 11 am to 4 pm, which wasn't listed on the web and came as a surprise. no good if a weary traveller wants to grab an afternoon snooze.

From what I've seen of Paris hostels, this one is out of this world! They have both dorm and hotel-type options, clean showers, free breakfast, helpful reception staff, and fairly close proximity to a metro station, though the streets are kinda hard to navigate, even using a map and the street signs. But it's near small markets and plenty of places to eat, very close to Sacre Coeur, and has free internet. Free! I liked staying here.

#1 CONTACTED BED BUGS in our private room. Had to seek tx in next country visited!!! The metro close to the hostel was closed - many extra steps. Had 1 eveing with a guy yelling loudly, swearing, banging and kicking on a door to be let in by traveling roommate or ?Staff interaction was fair. 1 man was average, our exit manager was very interactive and polite.

It's in Montmartre, which is a great area of Paris, and it's not too bad as hostels go. It's sort of average in character/fun; there's no common area except for about 6 chairs around the computer so it's a bit hard to hang out. I'd stay there again though.
