Clean & (relatively, depends) quiet. It's nice and friendly, located just 1' walk from the beach, 5' from a Spar with ATM machine, and, even better, there's a pub/restaurant just opposite side of the street where food & service are excellent, with live music on Sat and Sun. Next door is another pub, a bit more crowded, with live music too. Despite them being next to the hostel, you don't hear the noise so can have a nice sleep. Carrowmore & Knockarea (megalithic tombs) are just nearby, you could
