Although this wasn't a luxury suite that I had become used to in my travels - and I mean jacuzzis to fill small apartments, 5-star dining on the premises, champagne and limos, I found my experience at the Sun Bright quite satisfactory indeed. Cleanliness; a bed to sleep in (don't watch TV in NY!), and bathrooms (which are a private cabin, as opposed to shared stadium style outfitters) and a location at the heart of the city will placate any budget traveller, even one as picky (call it refinement) as I.

Nothing like most picky people said. This hotel is Great, great location, and the best price in Manhattan :-) "Just don't expect the quality of 5 stars hotel, when you only want to spend under $50.00 a night" I will sure come back for my next trip :-)

This place was really well situated. We saw a cockroach and a mouse which wasnt so fun, but it was REALLY clean, so maybe due to the neighbouring markets. I'd stay there again even though. Good place but not a special ou party place.

Bathrooms were clean for the most part, although there were lines in the mornings. The rooms are very small but didn't bother us at all since we were just there to sleep. Bed...not so comfy

We did not have a window in our room and could hear everything going on in the room next door (literally!)

They actually sent us to a different hostel when we got there, which was annoying after a eight hour flight and arriving in new york at night in the rain... having to walk several blocks in an unknown neighbourhood..... But the place we stayed at was clean enough and quiet, right in the middle of chinatown so lots of restaurants around and near the bus terminal

Do not stay at this place! They had over booked our reservation,Our room just fitted the double bed in it,Line up for showers each morning,Could hear everything through the walls,We also got over charged! The Internet total said we had to pay $30 dollars each a night for a private room bout once we got to the hotel they charged us $35 dollars each a night and our deposite we paid on the interent wasnt taken off the total when we arrived to check in so we had to pay that again!

english: first of all: we never stayed at the sun bright hotel. they told us that our room was 'damaged' and so we moved to the world hotel about 300 m away which is under the same manager. the hotels are located right in chinatown. the room in the world hotel was really good in comparison to other hostels in the same category (we had a 4 person private room with a clean bathroom). but the staff was unfriendly and their behavior was a no-go. if you like arguments with people often unable to speak a proper english, you might have fun there. deutsch: vorweg: wir waren nie im sun bright hotel.
