This place was awful dirty, that's really the main negative point, although it's not the only one. One funny thing is that if you are sleeping on the first floor, showers are outside, in the courtyard. For myself, I went there in mid-january, and it was about 0 celsius, when you get out of the shower, it's crazy cold. Everything is dirty there, and the bar smells vomit permenently. There is no locker, and the luggage room isn't locked. If you feel like stealing some stuff, you just enter the bar, get inside the hostel by the door in the back (nobody's gonna ask you anything), just turn left and you are in the luggage room! Here you go. This place sucks, like most hostels in Paris. At least it is quite well located.

Good fun place, the bar is a great hang-out & the Pommy Barman is a hoot - give the man a payrise!!

Not somewhere to go for a quite night's sleep. My party stopped at the 3 ducks on a Friday and the Saturday of the next week. We were expecting some noise but it carried on until 3am and with flights at 7am the next day it wasn't great. Security was fairly shoddy; I was able to walk in a just request my room key without question if I was actually in that room at all. Although there was a free safe for valuables. Clean and '3 Ducks' can’t fit in the same sentence, I found grit in my bed on both visits. Oh and don't go to the toilets in bare feet. The kitchen smells pretty bad too. We went out to eat. The only plus points to this place is very convenient location right next to a metro stop and that it's dirty cheap. Dirty being the operative word in the sentence.

The staff was really nice, but the rooms and bathrooms were rather disgusting, and there was no security at all (someone's computer was stolen while I was there). Breakfast is a baguette with jelly and butter (actually rather good) with coffee and juice. If you are a girl, I would not recommend staying in a mixed room (bad experience with that). Music is blasted until past 2am in the bar downstairs. Despite the good points, I would NEVER stay there again.

If character means bizarre than yes. I mean it was cute in the shabby i don't like clean bathrooms sort of way. The place where they keep their luggage doesn' have a key and is right in the courtyard. It's just a bit rundown and tight but if u want to have fun, pay less, and meet young people it's a good idea. The coffe lady was kind of cranky but who wouldn't be a little cranky after working there. In the very tight kind of gross bathroom i read 3 ducks sucks, it's not very creative but sometimes truth doesn't need to be.

The staff were great and it's in a pretty good location but other than that it's not so good. Overall it's quite dirty, the room I was meant to stay in at first had ants crawling over the floors and they suggested I just 'sleep on the top bunk.' Anyways I'd recommend to try and find somewheres else before you stay there.
