The metro runs right under the hostel so i didnt get any sleep between that, the crappy bed, and the loud people in the courtyard. the bar, staff, and courtyard are nice so I would pick this hostel if you want to party.

Place is kind of nasty. The shower in our room was clogged for 2 days. You had to put your feet on either side of the pit to take a shower. Good location though.

If you want a good nights sleep, don't stay here! With all the rooms facing out to a central courtyard, this place is really noisey all night! But the atmosphere at the 3 ducks rocked! The bar was really cool and the guys working there are so friendly (Neil, Ian and Lucky). If you're looking for a fun place to stay in Paris, and aren't worried too much about warm showers, then stay here!

The location and the atmosphere were unreal. The staff were all lovely and it was nice having breakfast provided. Only downfall is probably the showers but you can get used to that

Awesome Hostel. My only complaint was that you have to cross this freezing courtyard to get to the showers, and the showers werent always hot.

My comments on the 3 Ducks unfortunately can not be as positive as for the other hostels. The hostel is very small and space is a huge problem. They have no lockers in the rooms and you are expected to leave your stuff on the bed. I know that I have indicated that I am willing to stay in a mixed dorm, but beeing the only female amongst men was a bit harsch. The toilet and shower facilities are situated outside in the garden area and are cleaned only once a day, which is not sufficient when everybody in the hostel have to make use of the facilities - hygiene is important no matter where you are and is not very difficult to maintain. They have kitchen facilities available, but what is the use of having it when it is dirty - just looking at it, takes away any hunger that you might have had. When the accommodation is bad, it kind of ruins your trip. Breakfast in comparrison to the other hostels was very poor and the bar where they served it, did not even provide enough space for everybody to sit down, relax and have breakfast. The location of the hostel is O.K. seeing that you are in walking rage of all the great/big sight-seeing places in Paris. The hostel is just a bit difficult to reach/far from the main stations. The hostel is affordable and I guess that for cheap accommodation in Paris, this is what you would expect!! The staff (when English speaking) was helpful to a certain extent. I experienced that friendliness and being helpful is something that you will struggle to find in all of Paris/France.
