We were a group of 22 college students with a few adults. The location was easily accessible to Boston, the staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. We had concerns from some of the reviews that said it was not clean, but our rooms were very clean. It's not the Ritz....some of the blankets had worn places, but they were clean and kept us warm so "no worries" and who could beat the price. The lounge was comfortable and even though there was no coffee etc. on the premises, there were plenty of places nearby. I would be careful walking around the neighborhood very late at night...although from the bus stop to the hostel was on the main drag, so not scary at all. We were very pleased and thank you Chris and Yuxie.

This has got to be the answers to anybody's dream for a home away from home. Knew it soon as I walked in the door. Wonderful place, wonderful staff who are always on hand, bright clean rooms, hallways, great common room, wonderful food five minute walk, maybe they'll adopt me, that's my next dream. Great sleep.

A very nice stay location is a little out of the way but once you figure out the bus and train routes its easier. Staff very friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless and I enjoyed my time there I look forward to visiting again take care

Great place! I totally recommend it despite the distance from the city. It is only about 20 minutes with public transit and the staff is very informative.

Wonderful! I was glad to stay in such a good hostel. The staffs are humorous and friendly. They have terrific lounge with good facilities. This was my second times to stay in this hostel. It was a comfortable place to me.

Had a fairly disappointing stay here. First of all, the location is pretty poor, no where near central Boston. It is close to shops, however the area felt quite unsafe & dodgy. The room was up 2 sets of stairs (no lift) and was quite small. The worst part was on the last night a 40-something year old woman came into our room around 11pm, causing a fuss (they had just checked her into our room at this time) & she was really unhappy getting a shared room, so she went downstairs to change room... however, was sent back around 1am!!! Once again waking us up... she told me I had to get out of bed & sleep on the top bunk (I was on the bottom) as she couldnt get up there... and when I went downstairs to complain & get someone to sort it out, noone was around (they had locked up) & there was no way of contacting anyone. Ended up getting to sleep at 3am after having to change beds to shut this crazy lady up! Also, the living area is right downstairs & I felt very unwelcome - an older guy who I think either lives or works in the place was always down there, watching whatever he wanted on TV & generally making you feel uncomfortable - as if you were living in his house & inconveniencing him. And all this for quite an expensive nights stay! I definately would not be staying here again.

quite a memorable spot to stay, nice area, not too far from downtown. could be cleaner in detail. we were there in march but during summer it must be fun to hang out on the porch with the old piano that is terribly out of tune.

Good place, good stuff... but, the localization is not a good item!

There seemed to be a lot of unhappy guests because what we booked online-such as a 4 person room-was not available, so we were put wherever was available. This cause some stress because it separated groups of people that had specifically reserved a certain type of room situation. There seems to be a disconnect between the reservation office and the Prescott.
