Free teas & coffees and a proper ensuite bathroom was great! On the minus side, the plastic covers on the mattresses were nnoying esp. for those on the top bunks, plus the bottom sheets kept slipping off the mattress and the dorms were quite small - apart from that nice and cosy....

A man called Haward is extremely rude to his staff I have heard him bossing a girl staff around all day and it was quite unpleasant to handle it. It was extremely loud and patronising!

The Prescott has a lot of character, which makes up for its out-of-the-way location. It is clean and run by friendly, helpful staff. One of the best hostels in the U.S. Highly recommended.

The hostel is located a little bit far from the city but getting in and out is pretty easy PS There's a great breakfast place around the corner.. you should try it!!

good to venture to a part of Boston that you would normally see as a visitor to the city.

The hostel was lovely, Betty who greeted us was so welcoming and helpful! I would efinately recommend this hostel and don't pay any attention to the bad reviews as they are just from people who are very petty! Once you have founf the right bus/subway the location is fine, the subway stops running at 1am so if you want to stay in the city late a taxi home cost us $12 including tip which I think is pretty good!

We were a group of 22 college students with a few adults. The location was easily accessible to Boston, the staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. We had concerns from some of the reviews that said it was not clean, but our rooms were very clean. It's not the Ritz....some of the blankets had worn places, but they were clean and kept us warm so "no worries" and who could beat the price. The lounge was comfortable and even though there was no coffee etc. on the premises, there were plenty of places nearby. I would be careful walking around the neighborhood very late at night...although from the bus stop to the hostel was on the main drag, so not scary at all. We were very pleased and thank you Chris and Yuxie.
