Long haul from the center of Rome. If you're planning on staying for a long time it's a nice place to stay, with a good bar and music and a pool and all, but for a short stay - the commute in and out of Rome is a Killer. And you can't get there easily at all except by Taxi (about 25 Euros) after 10 or 11 at night. Otherwise, the dorms were somwhat cramped and there was little bag security. Not a bad place, but don't go there unless you want to stay there.

Theres two MAJOR things that are missing for us backpackers staying in the doorms... the possibility to cook your own food and the possibility to put your valiues in a looker (or something like that) but I can really recommend this hostel/camping-site its a great way to meet new friends with different experience than yourself. Its not very hard to get there either so dont let that scare you away... trust us, its really worth the money...

The camping is nice but the swiming pool was really too dirty, you should do something about it.

Our stay in the hostel was great. It was cheap, the service was amazing: great showers, excellent free busservice,... Maybe it's a bit far from the center, but actually it's not that bad: there's a free bus every 30 min to bring you to the trainstation, the train is cheap: just 1euro, the busdrivers are really friendly,... and the pub with his liveband is great. We didn't care that we couldn't go out late in the center cause we met so many new people in the camping. I would defenitely recommand it!!!

Great hostel, nice pool, and lovely people.Fun bar too!The only propblem is the location, which for 11euro a night u cant complain, the buses and trams are direct and easy to find but you have to make sure you get the last bus at 12 or your stuck!!good place to stay though, had a great time!

tiber hostel and camping is a great place to stay if you are looking to be close to rome, but with out the noise and crowds of the big city. it has a great pool, fun beer garden and even had live music one night. i had an awesome time, and would recommend it to anyone.

Our little trailer was very simple and had little ventilation, but it became really cool at night time, so it turned out to be pretty comfortable in the night. The camp is somewhat far from Rome since you have to keep in mind commuting to the where the shuttle bus is from Rome itself. It sometimes took 45 minutes from Roma Nord to the actual camp, but it wasn't really that bad. We liked eating at the camp. It was more relaxed, and cheaper than eating at similar places in Rome. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The bar was fun to hang out in, and a cover band played while we were there, which was enjoyable.

We met a lot of great people at Tiber. Unfortunately we stayed in the mixed dorm which is right next to the bar, so it was quite loud when we wanted to go to sleep. Other than that, we had a great experience at Tiber!

Very social atmosphere. Nice to get out of the city in the evening. Good food for reasonable pricing, a bit noisy in the dorms, but still a lot of fun.
