The staff were excellent, they go to great lenghts to help you enjoy your stay however the area didnt feel that safe.

If you get the chance take the Dylan Tour. Also, beware of the showers. They are tricky but if you use them early in the morning you will always get hot water. Which is not the case later on.

USA hostels charge for some things that could be potentially necessary that Amsterdam hostel does not. U need to pay to rent a towel, use their own computers for the internet and amsterdam hostel has en suite bathrooms in their rooms. besides those differences, i strongly recommend either hostel.

An excellent hostel if I was going to recommend any hostels I would go with this one, though if i went back I'd probably get a hotel! But it was great had internet and laundry and pancakes for breakie nice rooms and showers etc very cool. :-)

Really nice hostel with good size dorm rooms in a handy location. The only comments that we would add are that the heating can be a bit erratic (the rad in our room couldn't be turned off all night) and although it says parking available it isn't. It is simply a 5 dollar reduced rate per day at one of the nearby garages.
