Hostel Vertigo was one of the cleanest and most cosy hostels I've ever visitet, with a great kitchen (accept they didn't even have ha small stove so we could only eat fresh pasta cooked in the microwaveowen?) and a big nice "hangout-room". I really enjoyed my stay. Too bad it's located in France dirtiest and most unpleasent city. I will never return to marseille. But the hostel was safe, and just great!

It's a very nice place to go, you just have to walk 5 minutes and you are in the old port and from there you can go in bus to the beack! The place is very clean, you can have breakfeast and the have a little bar to. It so fun!!!

Amazing place with an amazing staff!!! Right next to the train station, to the harebore, the cool neighborhood and some cool marocain restaurant who serve a killer couscous. Ask the staff for the Petit Nice, the cheapess bar in Marseille. Marc-André (montréal)

The hostel is directly beside the main train station so you don't have to take a taxi or carry your bags far at all, however at night the area is dangerous. Just don't go out alone and stay on the busy streets at night. The staff was great. I would stay there again

The hostel is really close to the train station, which is convenient, but also means it isn't in the nicest area of Marseille. But the hostel itself is really nice and we had a lot of fun there. I would recommend it.

Vertigo was great and location next to train station was key for day trips to Arles/Aix/Avignon etc. Laundry in basement was amazing, though 5euro breakfast was disappointing. Overal great.

If you are to stay in Marseille, whether just passing through or for a few days, we found this place to be a safe oasis for us. It was nice to know that we could come back to a friendly and safe environment. The staff recognizes its visitors and you must ring a bell for them to unlock the place and let you in. The rooms are great, considering its a Hostel, AND they have soap now! We highly recommend this place, whether you plan to have a private room or share a room, typical hostel style. They

This hotel was excellent and the staff on reception were wonderful and very helpful. The room on the fourth floor was amazing, with loads of character. The bar was very well priced and the terrace outside was lovely. I loved the stay at the hotel and will definitely be returning.
