Great hostel, enjoyed the downstairs bar and great pasta. Despite the crazy Aussies, one naked and two shagging in the bunk above, everyone was great. I would recommend Wombats for sure.
I do not think that the breakfast is worth the EUR3.50 they charge. Other than that, great hostel.

it was clean thats about the only good thing i can say the location really sucks which kind of took away from everything else the bar staff should try to crack a smile now and again seems like the recepttion staff have to carry them as far as friendliness goes
wombat vienna is not the most inviting place, really. the staff is miserable, unfriendly and it's a total chaos due to lack of organisation, intelligence of the people working there. all the girls at the entry tried their best not to cooperate in any way, while the boys were helpless. and there was music in the bar as loud as in a disco. for groups including people older than 18: not the place to be!

Nice place but costly for hostels' budget. Everything in cash, pay before use! Can't even charge at checking out! Very clean though... Long walk from Westbanhof!!!

I found Wombat to be a very organized and efficient hostel. It was just a little to mechanical for me. I would prefer a hostel with character and city center location then a school run dorm room atmosphere. I liked that they gave us a free drink but that is not enough interaction for me.
