Hostelworld.com is VERY misleading - If you reserve a "bed" in a double (or a triple, etc.), unless you are checking in with the other person (or the other two people, etc.) who are sharing your room, you will have to pay for the ENTIRE room. I paid for a bed in a triple for $33, and then when I got there, I was told that since I was there alone and they didn't assign random people to share rooms, I would either have to pay $99 for the entire room, or I could pay $50 for a single room.

Some staff excellent - very helpful, others much less so.

Very great staff, helpfull and friendly! Somewhat scary beds, because you can easily fall out and it is placed beside a big window. Not very romantic, but i would recomment it for your stay in Boston, even for a couple.

A fantatsic place to stay. Walking distance to lots of tourist detinations like the Red Sox stadium and Museum of Fine Arts. The staff are brilliant and really know what they are talking about when they tell you how to get to places and the history behind them. Absolutely fantastic!!

Placée proche du métro cette auberge de jeunesse propose des chambres simples et doubles sans confort avec wc et douche sur le palier pour un prix correct a 2 mn de metro du centre de Boston.

The room was not clean, the showers were cold, no doors for the toilets ! people not very helpfull. If it was not that expensive it would have been ok. But it is a shame to pay that much for that.

for twin private rooms, two sets of keys should be provided! una chica from the frontdesk refused to give a receipt, then filled it in with a wrong name, kept blasfeming in Spanish (I understood) and simply gave at me an empty one and said \"Do it yourself\"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bath times were awful: dirty floors, smelly courtains, only 1 or 2 men could take shower at once per floor..... I recommend to stay in other hostels in Boston!

This place is poor to filthy and easily the worst Y I have ever stayed at. I could actually overlook most of that, but for the fact that the staff was HORRIBLE. It is like they don't know they are running a hotel, and instead, only interested in their own dramas or talking to each other. They were terrible. I don't know where they got hired from or why they are working there. Obviously, there is no management.
