Great location, friendly and quiet place. 5-10min walk to train station if you take the pedestrian only shortcut behind the "Bernabrunnen?" Comfy and pleasant.

Didn't actually stay here in the end as couldn't get to Bern but the hostel refunded me my money and so for that alone i would expect it to be a good place.

Bern is fabulous, so do visit the city but DO NOT STAY at this hostel. The staff were rude, indifferent and extremely unhelpful. This is not a placce to meet like minded travellers...you will get a bunch of either school kids, families with babies or real old people staying here. When I had a genuine issue during my stay I was told that they were unable to help me, as I had paid for a room in a youth hostel and not a hotel and that what you pay for is what you get. I was really disappointed

The location is SO excellent in summer because it is literally 200 metres away from the river, where people gather to swim in the beautiful water! Otherwise, the hostel is pretty good. Their set menus are good value for money. The buffet breakfast is basic, but generous.

Large dorms aren't the best, and having the lockers outside is a big hassle. Otherwise everything was great and the staff were very friendly and nice!

I had a great time here, the breakfast was great and the people we shared our room with were really nice. The location is really beautiful (we had a view of the river from the balcony outside of our room), but you have to climb a huuuge hill to get up to the city. It's ok, though... gives you an excuse to eat more delicious Swiss chocolate.

It was an ok place. The lockers were conveniently sized and everything was really clean. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff quite helpful, but it was kind of inconvenient to get to if you don't have a car.

Excellente auberge. Très bon accueil. Le petit déjeuner (très bon) est compris. Les déjeuners et dîners sont à prix très abordables.
