After a strange encounter with another guest, ie. his trying to grab me at night while sleeping, nothing was done to make me feel more secure. I expected to at least have been moved to another room, so I would not have to constantly face this disgusting person and as I'd paid for the night, could not afford to get another hostel.

No alcohol allowed... in IRELAND? Water pressure was awful and you had to keep your hand on a button the whole time. I wouldn't stay here again.

The place was decent and the included breakfast was just two pieces of toast and coffee, but better than nothing. Staff was nice, but the place is a bit of a walk from Temple Bar area. Overpriced in my opinnion. There are lots of other hostels in Dublin far better for the same price.
