Atmosphere and staff were wonderful. Rooms super clean. Location convenient and gives a great Hutong experience. The tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was also fantastic. Breakfast, lunch and transportation were included for 260 rmb per person. Bike rentals were available to rent for a reasonable rate and its the only way to see the city.

This location is just to far away from everything.

Bag storage is not secure. Anyone can go back there and pretty much do whatever. I hope in the future they don't let just anybody back there. The corner by the stairs had a funky smell. Bathrooms stank. I don't mind a common area that allows smoking but one of the workers was ALWAYS in the common area chain smoking which was not cool. Anyhow this was my second and last time stay there.

This hostel was an excellent choice. I am glad I was able to stay here. It is in a very wonderful area close of Hutong streets with plenty of character. It is taxi ride to bars and clubs but still it is inexpensive to get there. The staff was wonderful and helpful and the character was amazing with classic Chinese flare. I will definitely stay here again upon my return visit to Beijing.

This place is very interesting. They actually have two locations very close to each other. In essence this is an old Beijing Huton big-family house that was converted into a hostel giving it a nice character. The stuff is very friendly and responcive. Their English is enough to get by. The location is great - almost within walking distance from the Forbidden City.
