This is a decent ryokan in Fukuoka. It was kinda hard to find, as the gas station that the directions refer to is no longer there, but if follow the directions and turn right at the construction site, you'll find it. It's not really conducive to meeting people and going out to the bars or clubs (which are great in Fukuoka), but the location is much better than the hostel in town, since it's only a 10 - 15 minute walk to where all the nightlife is at.

The Reception man spoke very little english. It was rather difficult to communicate. The building was very hard to find.

This is a lovely new ryokan. Very clean with good sized rooms. Breakfast is great and the owner is very friendly and speaks good english. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we are next in Japan.

It was a little hard to find the ryokan, but it was worth it. The staff was really friendly and nice, even though we kept screwing up. We forgot a gaijin card, got locked out, and mistook the checkout time. We felt terrible, but the ryokan people were really helpful and understanding. They even gave us towels when we left 40 minutes too late.
