The first approach of the building is very bad (very old and non-maintained building) but once you are on the Stranger hostel floor, you get a good surprise. Even if it is a small hostel, the rooms are clean, the bathrooms (separated from the rooms)have been recently renewed and the kitchen is absolutely ok. So I consider it is a nice place for young people, with a common sitting room with a "huge" TV. But maybe it is not the kind of hostel people over 45 years old could need... There was no lift and our luggages were very heavy!!! But anyway, the staff was very sympathycal.

It is a nice hostel but there were a few things I didn't like about it. First it's about a 15 minute walk to the center and there isn't much around it. The rooms can also get hot in the summer and the majority of them face a very busy noisy street. There are only two bathrooms for the whole hostel which I believe has close to 30 beds. I was also forced to give up my bottom bed in a room not facing the noisy street because a small group decided to stay longer and wanted to stay in the room I was in even though I had a booked reservation two days before for another day and they made a reservation last minute. Not the end of the world but I don’t think it should have been handled that way. You'll also notice a nice water jug as soon as you walk in that is unfortunately for staff only but of course you can buy bottled water for 2.5 times the street price at 4 zl which seemed high compared to other hostels I've been too. Overall, despite my grievances, it is a decent hostel and given that there are only two listed in hostels.com at the time of this writing it might be the best one in Wroclaw on this site.

when you first arrive the entrance would put you off and it seems really run down, but dont worry its way better once you actually get inside the hostel. very helpful & friendly staff

A good hostel. Worth staying at but only has dormatories. Friendly staff and interesting decoration. Don't let the entrance put you off. From the station it is easy to get to (you can see it from there) but is a few minutes walk from the Stare Miasto and the centre of Wroclaw. When I was there it was full and the staff had to turn people away!
