Great location, stunning views, a little drawback because of the 'smelly' dogs, but still absolutely fantastic!

the hostel is clean and the room is lovely, very good value for money as it isnt overpriced! there arent lockers but we have a key to the room and the hostel is very safe. the guy who runs it is very friendly and helpful and even lets us have our breakfast late when we dont get up in time, its a very good breakfast I might add! I would recommend this place, we originally only booked one night here as we didnt want to commit too much to paying for a hostel that had bad previous reviews, but now We feel that they were certainly unjust! It is really interesting to be staying at the top of a favehla! The locals are very friendly and helpful also. The walk from the bottom of the favehla to the top becomes worthwhile when you get the amazing view of rio when you reach the top!

The Hostel is very nice, the location is clean and very save with nice people in the Favelha. But the Hostel it self is unfriendly, strange and nicht very clean. Of cource it is not expensive, but I learnt that Brasil is a very very clean and friendly country. Favelinha was the only place Brasil were it was somehow different.
