Hostal Santillan is located in an early nineteen twenty´s building, in Madrid's main street. Gran Vía street is full of restaurants, theatres, shops and metro stations. In ten minutes (walking) you are at the most popular pub/bar zones (Huertas, Chueca). We have rooms fully equipped with TV, bathroom, fan and safe.

Breakfast is not included. Rooms are very clean and look nice, mine was very small. Great location. Staff doesn't speak english at all. There's an internet connection.
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. We had our own room with ensuite and the room was cleaned dailyl. Only the son spoke a little english but he was very helpful. The location was perfect and so close to everything. The building was beautiful and quiet. A good place for couples, not a good place if you are looking to party.
The owners do not speak english but luckily their son came for a few days and helped us communicate.

Very good an friendy staff, rooms are clean an the hostel is situated in the centre of the city. At night it is unfortunately a bit loud because of the traffic.
