I arrived late in the evening straight from the airport and was told when I checked in that I had to pay in cash as cards were not accepted at that time. I had no cash as nowhere on the internet site I booked on (hostel.com) mentioned this. Consequently I was made to walk along a poorly lit street to the nearest cash machine at 11.30pm which made me feel very uncomfortable as a young woman on my own. I suggest you make it clear to people when they book that a cash payment is necessary at night.
