Pretty good hostel, run by a really great guy who\'s really helpful, no matter what you need/want. Its clean, has a big kitchen. Its located quite far from downtown (30 minutes walk), but is in a good neighbourhood w/ restaurants and food stores nearby. There is also a bus station close by that takes you downtown. It is cheap, and a good value hostel. We\'d definately stay there if we ever went back to Alaska and Anchorage.

I just returned from Anchorage and I loved every minute. I stayed four nights at the Arctic Adventure Hostel and I would recommend it to anyone. This was my first Hostel stay and it was perfect for me. I had a private room and enjoyed having a full kitchen and access to a computer. The staff was very helpful! I used public transportation most of the time and I walked quite a bit. I highly recommend the museum and Heritage Center, the Coastal Trial with a rented bike, and all of downtown! I happened to be in Anchorage the weekend of the "We're In" celebration which made for even more fun.

The hostel is in a good location close to restaurants, and a Walmart. Pubic tranport is only two blocks away. For a one night stay, which was all that we wanted, the price was right for what we got.
