This hostel is about 2KM from the beach and 5KM from the city centre and best beach (Gros Beach). It almost would have been cheaper and more convenient to take stay in Bilbao and take the bus from there to the beach. The hostel insisted that I owed them an additional 5 euros in taxes that was on top of the amount due in my confirmation email. Checkout is bright and early at 10am.

good choice if you got a car to go around (although parking it's not easy to find in that area.....), since in summer and late at night there are no cheap public transports between the residencia and the city center.

Do not advertise on the website that you are 10 minutes from the beach when you are not! This was a big let down.

This is a dormitory on Campus of the university, about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach, and 45 minute walk to the old town. Its a damn nice dorm, but if you're looking for a fun hostel in the center of action, use this as your last option.

very good accomodation, like being back at uni! reasonable price, very clean and a 5 min bus ride away from the town centre and beach (not a 10 min walk as described on the website), on the 33, 5 or 25 buses
