It's a bit of a drive from Carcassonne, but worth it, even if you have to get a taxi. Jan's great! Contact her at her Web site personally if you want to go here - you'll get a better deal!
absolutely fantastic place to stay - its in the middle of nowhere but the locals are so friendly and welcoming you can get a right feel for french life. Jan is so lovely - you feel like she's your mum as well as sids! plus - she's happy to give you a lift to carcassonne every day if life in priexan is too quiet for you

Great place - one of my favorite places to stay. Beautiful environment, relaxed and extremely social: it feels like you're part of an extended family. The only downside is that it's out in the middle of nowhere, so only book if you've got a car or you can deal with the limited bus schedule.
don't go to carcassonne, or just go there for one day and spend a couple nights here in preixan. it's beautiful and relaxing.
