Altogether a good hostel - just 2 critiques. As a summer-only hostel, locals don't know it's there, and the numbering system on the streets was incomprehensible, so the address didn't help much. I asked some locals if they knew where the hostel was, and they didn't have a clue. We were across the street from it at the time, but I spent another 15 to 30 minutes before I found it. The name "Big Blue Hostel" would have certainly given me a clue if it was daytime, but it was dark when I arrived. I don't remember what the info at hostels.com said in the section where I booked my room, but on the page I printed out, it might have been useful to say that the hostel was located in a blue skyscraper that served as a dormitory for the local polytechnic. The character was actually good, in that it gave me a chance to see first-hand a little bit of how ordinary Poles live today. The only other concern was that although the sheets on the bed I used were fine (though they were awful short - I assumed that was normal?), I noticed that another set in the room had a large tear. In any case, staff was quite helpful and friendly, and I just wish I had had more time to spend in Warsaw.
