I enjoyed my stay here. It was so easy to meet cool, friendly people, both guests and staff. It is much farther from the beach though then you're led to think from the add, a 20/30 min walk at least. Lots of typical hostel activities here too! Although, I must say my roommate had her bed break in the middle of the night. It collapsed under her and she wound up on the floor. She was fine though and we all had a great time!

This hostel was pretty decent. Good kitchen facilities. About a 30 min. walk to Venice beach. It's in a little bit of a shady area. You wouldn't want to be walking alone late at night. It could use a few repairs to doors and maybe some better bunk beds. The mattresses didn't quite fit properly on the beds and wooden bunks aren't such a great idea in a hostel. But otherwise it was pretty good. I was only there for one night so I didn't really socialize that much so I didn't quite get the whole hostel experience.

There are people living in this hostel as a permanent home. It was quite dirty and the staff was often drunk, but for $15 you get what you pay for. Respectfully, Mark

I don't think it's right for hostels to say that they don't allow Americans to stay in their hostel. I like to know what laws say you can denie me from staying there? I thimk I may sue them.

I had no complaints. It was farther from lax airport than I imagined it, but closer than most if not all other hostels, and it was not difficult or expensive to get there by bus once I asked a local person what buses to take. thanks for a good stay, hostel california!
