I stayed in Room 207, and the one thing that was annoying is that the metal bunk bed in there squeeks horrendously when someone was getting in or out. Very disturbing. As well, it was great to provide small desk lamps for the lower bunks, but maybe you can supply them for the upper banks as well, and ensure they work (one of them did not). Thank you.

This was my first stay in a hostel by myself and it was such a wonderful experience; the staff was so friendly, and the accomodations were fantastic for a hostel at an afforadable price. Kudos.

Don't book HI-Hostel Halifax on hostels.com!! Hostels.com takes a deposit of 10%, but that doesn't go to the HI-Hostel - Hostels.com faked the rates! Our bill from hostels.com says that 27,50 $ would be the price for a night, but in reality it was 25 $ as HI-member and 30 $ as non HI-member. Hostels.com said 15 $ of total price would be charged on credit card as deposit, BUT when we arrived, nothing was paid as deposit, we had to pay the total. It seems like hostels.com took something to its own
