Still quite new so no real 'character' to speak of. Just outside of the main tourist area - but quieter. Only a 10 min walk or a cheap tuk tuk ride. Breakfast on the 6th floor terrace was good.

We checked out some friends'lodgings which were nearer to the town and food places. This "hotel" compared poorly in price; very badly if you were paying its rack rates which are around twice the hostelworld's rates. The cleanliness is about par with the others we saw. The so-so breakfast tests your patience as you wait for the, say, the milk to arrive - you have to remind the waitress some 15 mins. later - for the murky, stale and now cold coffee.

This is a new hotel. Has the potential to be luxurious! Not a backpacker place but great if you fancy a bit of luxury for a couple of days. Everything is squeaky clean!
